Course Discription
:
This course discusses modern trends and issues that are related to children with disabilities (mild, moderate, or severe) and gifted students. Additionally, the course explores philosophical, legal, and attitudes from other fields that have effects on practices in the field of special education. The course should provide students with knowledge and skills that should help in planning future careers in special education, based on practical bases. Instruction will be provided through discussions in regard of current trends and issues, practical implications of skills and technology, and field visits to centers and associations that provide distinguished services for children with disabilities and those who are gifted.
