The study of how disabilities are socially constructed in society’s values and trends globally and locally. Analysis of disability constructs includes the perspectives of individuals about children with disabilities and the impact of literature, art, and the media from historical and modern perspective. The course also includes an analysis of stereotyping and stigmatization of disability in societies and its effect on family members and extended family. |
