This course covers the historical roots and philosophical foundations of teaching of children with disabilities and giftedness in inclusive learning environments. In addition, this course covers the required conditions, challenges, benefits, delivery models, and nowadays practices of teaching those children in inclusive settings. Moreover, it covers the philosophy of inclusion, school for all and the less restrictive educational environment and the results of Arabic and global studies and global trends related to the inclusion of people with disabilities. This course covers the educational implications of teaching children with disabilities and giftedness in inclusive educational environments in terms of modifying curriculum, methods, attitudes, legislations, facilities and practices. |
