This course is designed to provide an overview of the field of gifted and talented education, including its historical roots, basic terminology, theories and models, as well as general characteristics and needs of gifted learners. Further, the course should explore tools and methods utilized in identifying and assessing gifted students. In addition, the instructional alternatives to teach gifted students will be a main focus of this course. The course focuses on the practical side, where students will conduct field interviews conducted with gifted students to know their characteristics and needs closely. |
