This course provides students with an introduction to developmental disabilities, classifications, characteristics, and evaluation and diagnosis of intellectual disability, autism spectrum, learning disabilities, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders. The course focuses on explaining these disorders and their effects on child’s future development and education; and how to respond effectively to children’s needs. A special attention will be given to the use of modern technology in early identification and effective education. |
