:
This course explores the fundamental principles of metabolism and protein chemistry, emphasizing the biochemical pathways that regulate energy production, nutrient utilization, and molecular interactions within cells. Students will study the structure, function, and regulation of proteins, as well as their roles in metabolic processes such as glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, and lipid and amino acid metabolism. The course also covers enzyme kinetics, protein folding, post-translational modifications, and the integration of metabolic pathways in health and disease |
