Course Discription : This course aims to introduce the concept of assistive technology, types of assistive technology, and effectiveness of the using of assistive technology with disabled and gifted children. This course also aims to identify the importance of using assistive technology in the education of children with disabilities and its effectiveness in achieving the expected outcomes of learning. The course provides an explanation of the factors that contribute to a successful use of assistive technology with each category of special education. This course aims to introduce all used tools, materials, devices, and software to increase and improve the functional and performance capabilities of children with disabilities to enable them to practice their normal learning activities effectively. In addition, this course aims to identify how to employ assistive technology in teaching children with disabilities and training them developmentally and educationally and it aims to discuss issues related to use of technology with children.
