This course focuses on understanding the gifted and talented children, prevalence, origins of giftedness, definition, characteristics, identification, assessments and discovering gifted and talented children, the important of developing potential and early intervention. Developing creative behavior, programs for gifted and talented children, educational approaches, planning for integrative education, differentiating and individualizing the curriculum and instruction for gifted learners in the schools, their teachers, counseling gifted and talented children and their families, teachers, using brain research in the classroom, and supporting gifted and talented children with special needs. |
