This course deals with the concepts of linguistic and cognitive development of the child, such as
children's cognitive abilities, intelligence, perception, thinking, information processing, problem solving skills and brain function, with a focus on cognitive theory in the use of intelligence tests and their application, linguistic development and communication skills for young children from birth to age eight, and factors that influence language development.
