This course deals with the differentiated instruction approach in terms of: origin, concept, development, and principles of differentiation in the light of learning theories and their justifications. It reviews the theories and models that explain the differences between learners in their learning and intelligence patterns. It also shows teaching elements that could be differentiated, as well as effective strategies for applying this approach. It also explains the relation between differentiation and each of active learning, organizing understanding, and managing the classroom situation during being applied. The course also explains the appropriate mechanisms of evaluation according to this approach, and ends with a set of applications on different subjects. |
