This course studies films reproduced from literary texts, for the purpose of exposing film producers’ methods and converting a text into a script or a dialogue. The focus of the course is on producers’ use of shots, footage, music, lighting, transition between scenes (cuts), and the audience to express their understanding of such filmed and showcased works. The syllabus contains film productions which will be shown and analyzed in class, to draw comparisons between text and film. |
