The course surveys the major theories and methods currently used in American studies. It consists of a general introduction to American literature, the colonial period, the Black (African-American) experience, borders, and migration as basic elements in the American culture. The course also focuses on the selection of literary texts exhibiting the most illustrious influence on American literature and culture. |
