This course is intended to introduce the student to intricate relationships that exist between different cultures of the Third World. Through the examination of literary production form different parts of the Afro-Asian and Latin American spheres and the exposure of certain cultural traits that separate, or unite these cultures, the student is able to see the intra- and inter-cultural aspects that characterize these cultures, moving them from the marginal position assigned to them to the centre.
