This course deals with translated texts from and into Arabic and English. Newspapers and periodicals include texts of political, economic, scientific, etc. nature. The course also deals with legal translation, like translating certificates of birth, marriage and death, commercial and employment contracts, extracts from pleadings of cases at the court (cases of property, breaches of agreements, claims for compensation, etc.). This course also involves the translation of lists of legal, scientific, and technical terms and concepts and translating the curricula of the academic departments and the university. |
