It is an introduction to literary translation, survey of earlier translation of certain literary texts, translation critical studies, a historical survey of studies conducted on European literary works into Arabic, such as the Shakespeare’s works. Besides, the course shows the Arab interests in the translation of European works into Arabic. Moreover, the course aims at studying some Arabic translated works into English such as Mahfouz’s masterpieces. |
