Course Discription |
:
This course deals with issues culled from certain periods of British literature from Beowulf
to the present. The instructor chooses certain topics and issues that give students a clear idea
about the dominant themes in English literature. Then the instructor distributes a detailed
description of the picked topics , which makes the material flexible , especially when instructors change , and , thus , each one can choose the themes and issues he /she holds to be the most appropriate. Even though themes have been chosen in a relaxed manner, they should reflect issues varying in their importance and representative of the most important developments of British literature. The instructor explains in the course data sheet his /her rationale for choosing these issues and topics, which gives students on the outset a clear idea about the course and its objectives.
