This course aims at training students to perform conference interpreting, with its two major types: the simultaneous and the consecutive. It will also practically familiarize them with all the subdivisions of these two major types, together with the psychological, social and cognitive pressures and constraints which an interpreter/ translator is subjected to when s/he performs such a skill . In providing students with the techniques of the conference interpreting, assimilated real-life situations will be created for them in the language laboratory, where such training will be conducted. |
