The course concentrates on introducing the backgrounds to Classical literature. There are many various influences and factors that helped shape the cultural and literary aspects of both Greek and Roman literature. The focus will be on important literary works produced by important classical writers such as Homer and Virgil. Other writers might be included. Students are also expected to discuss important concepts relating to Greek and Roman mythology. |
