This course is designed to point out the relationship between the use of language, its users and its context, to include both the verbal as well as the situational contexts. It will also clarify the relationship between the use of language and society at large, and will relate the various linguistic varieties of language to the cultural, psychological, ethnic and geographical factors that determine the daily life of the society. |
