Course Discription |
:
This course is designed to provide the student with an introduction to the basic descriptive levels of language, its aims, aspects and its relationship with other social disciplines. It also aims at acquainting the student with the nature of human language, its characteristics, functions and components. A fairly detailed study of language components will be presented within the overall framework of modern linguistic theories & schools. Throughout the course, emphasis will be concentrated on the English language. |
