This course studies the development of Arabic poetry in modern times, main schools and directions, factors influencing it, followed by a glimpse of some modern poets like: Al Baroodi, and Ahmad Shawki, poets of Almahjar or Northern and Southern American Arab Emigrants poetry, the Apollo Group and finally, the modern poetry inaugurated by Nazik Al Malaika and Bader Al Sayyab. |
