:
Studying mechanical behavior of rocks and rock masses. Mechanical responses to all geological materials, application of the principles of engineering mechanics to the design of rock blocks resulting from mining or drilling or the production of reserves or civil construction activities, such as tunnel construction and mining corridors and underground excavations, mines, oil and gas wells, road shortcuts, waste dumps and other structures etched in Rocks or built-up ones. They also include the design of reinforcement systems, such as patterns of rock formations. Rock mass classification, rock tunneling design. |
