Levant in Ancient Periods
This course aims at familiarizing students with geological epochs, environments and topographical features in Levant, then it discusses different human settlement periods with clarifying types of settlements, political, social and economic aspects, that is in addition to religions, arts and writings. The course includes the periods starting from Prehistory (Stone Ages), then Bronze and Iron ages to reach the Persian Period, and finally Classical Periods (Greco-Roman). Also, ancient civilizations of Ancient Near East are generally explained.
