This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. It also prepares participants for aquatic emergencies by teaching them how to protect themselves while assisting others. In addition to classroom work emphasizing safety and rescue skills, emphasis in the pool is placed on refinement of paddle strokes and rolling techniques |
