This course introduce the students to physical therapy process for patients suffering neurological conditions, starting from thorough assessment, identifying problems, setting goals, creating therapeutic plan, implementing the care plan, and evaluating the outcomes. this course introduces methods to establish a safe and effective plan of care; setting goals and functional outcomes that specify expected times and duration; planning achievable patient outcomes within available resources; and means of monitoring and adjusting the plan of care in response to patient status for patients with neurological diseases, disorders, or conditions. This course will introduce methods of physical therapy interventions to achieve patient outcomes based on the examination and the impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities; promoting optimal health by providing information on prevention, wellness, and fitness; identifying health risks related to age, gender, culture, and lifestyle; and providing primary, secondary, or tertiary care to patients in collaboration with other practitioners in settings supportive of comprehensive and complex services. |
