Provide an overview of theory and practice of OT with adults who have various types of physical dysfunction. This course introduces the students to the main concepts of occupational therapy practice framework. The course also covers the evaluation and intervention approaches in relation to the occupational performance areas (e.g. activities of daily living (ADLs), work, and leisure). It discusses the client-therapist relationship. This course considers the complex relation between theoretical knowledge and practice expertise. The theoretical foundations of physical dysfunction practice will be presented as well as the principles of OT evaluation and treatment for physical dysfunction cases. |
