General categorization and identification of rangelands, their environmental requirements and potential uses in landscaping. Students will be familiarized with the evaluation of such lands as resources for industrial, medical and aromatic applications. The course covers land degradation and its control in the arid and semi arid rangelands, endangered species and ecosystem management, as well as management plans for protected areas. |
