We provide the Ophthalmology academic course which is considered as one of the minor courses required in the fifth medical year and it is necessary for the medical students to pass this course.
It is two weeks course during which the medical students will be exposed to and learn the main objectives of the course which include:
Taking ophthalmic history in regard to common ophthalmic diseases and serious ones which could threaten the vision or the human life.
Understand and recognize ophthalmic emergencies and life threatening emergencies presenting to eye casualty.
To be familiar with the global and local common ophthalmic conditions responsible for chronic vision loss such as cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, refractive errors, etc…
