This course studies the development of Arabic poetry in modern times, main schools and directions, factors influencing it, followed by a glimpse of some modern poets like: Al Baroodi, and Ahmad Shawqi, poets of Almahjar or Northern and Southern American Arab Emigrants poetry, the Apollo Group and finally, the modern poetry inaugurated by Nazik Al-Malaika and Bader Al-Sayyab. |
