This course tackles the main concepts of philology along with Language Sciences, followed by the Arabs’ efforts in linguistics and their motivation in pursuing the hard work in this field. Students will also look at the characteristics of Semitic languages and Arabic, ancient Arab dialects, their phonetic, morphological and grammatical differences, the sources for linguistic declamation, linguistic vocal development, paths of linguistics growth in Arabic etymology, coinage, Arabization, and finally, the aspects of the Arabic language linguistic wealth represented through synonyms, collaborative pronunciation and antonyms. |
