This course aims to study the connection between imagination and imagery through the focus on the concept of imagination, its psychology, effectiveness, and poetic imagery. It studies imagery in linguistic, literary, and philosophic settings, with a focus on metaphor, simile, and figurative language. The course aims at showing the importance and function of imagery through its connection to meaning, as well as studying the functions of imagery, poetry, characterization, and simulation. |
