This course presents a historical background and an introduction to the science of prosody, definitions of its scope, identification of founders and reasons for its foundation, causes and effects of prosody, the poetic meters, the science of rhyme and rhythm, and finally, ancient and modern deviations from the conventional Arab prosody, as well as prosodic innovations. |
