This course covers the identification of fungi and yeasts that cause diseases in humans, and the theoretical and laboratory identification of fungal skin and body diseases using staining, culture, and microscopic examination of medical samples. It also covers examining the effect of antifungals on them. It also covers viruses and their comparison with other living organisms, the types of viruses based on their nucleic acid type, viral replication, and the study of diseases caused by viruses, such as HIV, hepatitis C, and others. The practical aspect includes experiments on virus isolation and diagnosis. |
