The course is designed to provide the student with basic knowledge and information on human parasites of medical importance, especially protozoa and helminths. The course will cover parasites basic life cycles, epidemiology, modes of transmission, clinical features, laboratory diagnosis, as well as physiological and immunological interactions between parasites and their hosts. |
