This course concentrates on the assessment process of children with special needs including information on the legal basis and recommended practices in assessing young children with special needs, information on tests and measurement and considerations in assessment of young children. The course also deals with identifying, and tracking of special needs children. It also covers the assessment of sensory processes, cognitive, motor, communication, social interaction, play and adaptive skills of young children. It also includes assessment of family concerns, resources, and priorities, and assessment of the environment in which young children function. The course finally concentrates on the pro |
