This course focuses on definitions of learning disabilities, identifies its causes, and discusses its major types. It also discusses the characteristics of learning disabled students and traces the historical developments of educational services for them. The course also discusses methods of early identification, evaluation, and diagnosis of learning disabilities, clarifies the principles of corrective (clinical) teaching methods in academic learning disabilities, and provides information about educational services in childhood settings, and teaching methods in the field of learning disabilities. |
