This course aims at introducing students to issues of democracy and human rights in the Arab world. It discusses the principles of democracy in the Islamic and Arab culture as well as the state of democracy and human rights in the region. It reviews political development in the various parts of the Arab world such as GCC state, Arab Middle East and the Maghreb Arab states. |
