We welcome you to the website of the Prince Hassan bin Talal College of Natural Resources and Environment at the Hashemite University. It gives me great pleasure to present to visitors our college’s website and highlight the importance and role of our college and some of the topics that represent some of the college subjects of interest. Dear visitors of our electronic page, the Prince El-Hassan bin Talal College of Natural Resources and Environment is considered one of the distinguished and unique colleges of its kind in the Kingdom because of its interest in the basics of natural resources such as soil, water, air, minerals, and land uses to serve agricultural lands purposes and general environmental aspects. The college is also concerned with multiple topics, including the interactions and intersections of pollutants in soil, water and air with environmental systems and how to treat them and prevent the continuation of negative effects resulting from misuse and depletion of these resources. The college is interested in addressing environmental problems and exploring new resources in Jordan in general, using many applied tools within its laboratories that are specialized in water, soil treatment, testing of minerals and terrestrial ores. The college is distinguished by the presence of scientific laboratories equipped with the latest scientific equipment, and the presence of an elite group of distinguished professors in the field of scientific research, and their interest in earth sciences, land management, water and the environment. They work on addressing environmental problems related to the management of natural resources and the environment and are concerned with the safe and continuous use of natural resources and maintaining a clean environment.
One of the college's most important main goals is to prepare graduates to have a leadership role in the various environmental topics mentioned above, which provides government and private institutions with competencies capable of solving environmental problems in the water and agricultural sectors and supporting the industrial and environmental health sectors. To ensure the achievement of these tasks and objectives, the college contains a qualified and specialized staff distributed in three departments: the Department of Land Management and Environment, the Department of Water Management and Environment, and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
