It gives me pleasure to welcome you as acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

Thank you for your interest in the Faculty of Medicine at the Hashemite University (HU). Students are selected with the intent of ensuring that our graduates will be tomorrow’s medical leaders, secure in their knowledge, well prepared to practice their chosen specialties, and meeting the needs of our community and worldwide. As you embark on this career path, the HU aims at providing you with an exciting and rewarding destination for your education and training.   

The HU offers a program by which students can attain an MD degree in Medicine. Our University is committed to professionalism and strives to provide all students a rigorous and high quality educational experience.

Medical school is a challenge, through which you can learn the science of medicine, public health, and the art of compassionate care. We seek to attain lasting optimal health for all. Our aim is to support and develop leaders who look forward to improve the health of Jordanians and communities worldwide. We are committed and delighted to help our students along their journey. Our gall can be achieved through the emphasis on professional behavior, character, integrity, critical thinking, and the development of sound clinical skills, to produce dedicated and responsible physicians.

In recent years, our University has become an even better place to pursue medical education. With a re-designed curriculum, we have introduced clinical experiences early in the program through modernized facilities. This has been uniquely achieved through the introduction and provision of courses on clinical skills, clinical decision making, medical economics, and ethics of the medical practice.

We are proud to have a partnership and collaboration with the Royal medical services, the Ministry of health, and other Universities in Jordan, all of whom provide our students with a wealth of clinical exposure and experience.

Our goal for excellence in medical education has been met, and proved through the generations of our graduates. They proved so far to have fitted very well through their sound knowledge both in the local community, and in postgraduate programs in Jordan and in various other countries.

At the core of our mission is a commitment to constantly seek to improve what we do and strive to do our best. This is achieved through our openness, constant modernization of our teaching methods and techniques, student participation in faculty meetings, and feedback from student committees, and allied faculty members. Our pride is achieved when we achieve our expectations. Congratulations to all teachers, academicians, University leaders, and students who made this ever possible.
