Hashemite University hosted the final conference of the EU-funded Erasmus+ project CaP4Preceptors on 14 October 2026, under the patronage of its President, Prof. Khaled Al-Hiyari.
The conference brought together representatives of partner universities, the European Union, the Jordan Medical Council, healthcare institutions, clinical preceptors, and medical students to share the project’s achievements and discuss the future of clinical education in Jordan.
The project trained 344 clinical preceptors, strengthening their skills in teaching, supervision, assessment, feedback, and communication. Participants received 10 continuing professional development hours accredited by the Jordan Medical Council. Reported results showed that 90.9% of trained preceptors applied their learning in practice, while 60% of students reported an improved clinical learning experience.
Conference sessions explored innovation and challenges in medical education, alongside experiences shared by project partners, preceptors, and students. Discussions concluded with recommendations for sustaining the training programme, strengthening university–hospital cooperation, and expanding its application to benefit future generations of medical students.
