Conclusion of Clinical Preceptors’ Skills Development Workshop at Hashemite University

The Faculty of Medicine at Hashemite University concluded a two-day workshop on January 19–20, 2026, dedicated to developing the skills of clinical preceptors. The event brought together 47 clinical preceptors from the Ministry of Health, the Royal Medical Services, and Hashemite University, as part of a three-year Erasmus+ funded project awarded to the university.

Prof. Mohammad Abdul-Hameed Al-Qudah highlighted that this project is the outcome of two years of collaborative effort and experience-sharing among faculty members across the six participating medical schools in Jordan. He noted that the initiative produced a comprehensive training program comprising a remote theoretical component alongside practical training focused on teaching, assessment, and communication skills essential for clinical preceptors guiding medical students in teaching hospitals and centers.

Project Director Prof. Randa Mahasneh emphasized the success of the project based on feedback from participants across all partner sectors. She highlighted the importance of adopting this educational program as a key requirement for those training students during their clinical phases across health sciences faculties in the Kingdom.

The workshops were conducted in the presence of a delegation of clinical preceptors from participating European institutions, including the University of Patras (Greece) and the University of Minho (Portugal).
