Al-Balqa Applied University Faculty of Medicine Organizes a Capacity-Building Workshop for Clinical Preceptors in Collaboration with the European Union

Under the patronage of the Vice President of Al-Balqa Applied University for Medical Faculties and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Shadi Al-Hamouri, representing the University President, the Faculty of Medicine organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Capacity Building for Clinical Preceptors”.

The workshop targeted faculty members and clinical preceptors from the Ministry of Health – New Al-Hussein Al-Salt Hospital. It was conducted within the “Capacity Building for Clinical Preceptors (Cap4Preceptors)” project, funded by the European Union, and implemented in partnership with the faculties of medicine at the five Jordanian public universities, University of Minho in Portugal, and University of Patras in Greece.

The two-day workshop was delivered by a group of distinguished faculty members who successfully completed the intensive training program within the same project over two years. The sessions focused on adopting modern, internationally recognized teaching methodologies and enhancing clinical teaching practices.

The importance of this project lies in its contribution to advancing medical education in Jordan by empowering a larger number of clinical preceptors, developing their educational capacities, and improving learning outcomes in alignment with national and international standards.
