The President of the University of Jordan, Professor Dr. Nadeer Obeidat, inaugurated the fourth scientific day of the Faculty of Medicine on May 12, 2024, emphasizing the importance of this event, which showcases the research of the college's students and their scientific achievements.
Professor Dr. Yasser Rayyan, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, pointed out that the scientific day aims to present the research of the fifty-ninth batch of graduates, which has been a requirement for obtaining a Doctor of Medicine degree since 2019. He emphasized that the presented research has undergone discussions within the college, and the best ones have been selected for presentation.
An explanation was also provided about the project aimed at capacity building for trainers and supporting clinical experiences for students, funded by the European Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and several medical colleges in Jordanian universities.
Prof. Rayyan clarified the objectives and duration of the project until 2026, which aims to develop professional and educational skills for teachers and to qualify supervisors for medical students.
