Objectives
      

The Hashemite UNIVERSITY'S OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS (OIR) promotes and coordinates the growth of international agreements, programs and studies at the campus of the university. The office provides a leading role in initiating programs and responding to opportunities that enhance the goals of internationalization throughout the university system. To ensure that the university's three functions of teaching, research and community service have an international dimension, the office:

promotes regional and international research and curriculum development

·         

acts as an advocate for faculty and students with international interests

·         

facilitates exchange agreements and other internationalization efforts

·         

develops and administers overseas study as well as faculty and student exchange programs

·         

promotes the university's numerous institutional affiliations and linkages abroad

·         

provides support services for international students, faculty, and visiting scholars

·         

maintains contact with international alumni and foreign students

·         

develops the university's capacity for international technical and development assistance projects

·         

cooperates with the university's colleges and centers and international institutes

·         

serves as the university's principal liaison for outreach activities to local, regional and organizations with international concerns
