The digital marketing (electronic) seeks to achieve the following objectives:
First, it aims to apply the principles and basics of traditional marketing to the virtual market to access and influence the largest number of potential customers and clients.
Second, it seeks to access the client by easy, economic, and modern methods in terms of using modern technology, the internet, and social media platforms.
Third, electronic marketing seeks to replace traditional marketing channels, such as daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, paper advertisements, and television, with more effective, practical, and affordable channels, such as SMS, email, electronic bulletin boards, search engines, and social media platforms.
Fourth: the right existence in the market and the appropriate existence management in app stores to facilitate access to the consumer.
Fifth: electronic marketing contributes to reducing time, effort, and cost for organizations. It is considered one of the most important benefits and urgent and dire needs for organizations at this time.
As for the academic aspect, digital marketing is a field specialized in the marketing world, which is considered a part of the business administration category that gives the students the opportunity to study the following:
First, the students will be familiar with business in general, in which the following subjects: management principles, accounting principles, the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, financial principles, computer skills, and an introduction to programming will be covered.
Second, the students will specialize precisely in marketing, which plays a pivotal role in every company by covering the subjects in the marketing field as a whole, such as marketing principles, digital marketing principles, administrative information systems, marketing by cellophane, social marketing, customer-relationship management, consumer behavior, and sales management. 
Third, the study will focus on digital marketing, which is considered one of the most important and newest fields, in which the majority of companies are moving towards it. The students’ skills will be improved in general and in marketing in particular by using the internet, computer sciences, social media, smart phones, and digital platforms in order to achieve the marketing objectives for the company. To achieve these objectives, the students will learn how to design and create interactive networks on social media platforms and develop their skills in the fields of electronic content writing, research strategies, and methods of dealing with customers electronically. Therefore, this study will cover the following subjects: designing electronic websites, graphic design, interactive design, electronic websites, communication skills, marketing via social media websites, entrepreneurship, marketing information systems, services marketing, and international marketing.
Fourth: this study will rely heavily on the practical aspect, such as studying subjects such as contemporary issues in electronic marketing, economic feasibility study, strategies and pricing methods on the Internet, marketing channel strategies, and learning advertisement technology practically. Moreover, the student has to be involved in field training and then prepare a graduation project.
