Overview of upper and lower limb mechanics, analysis of various injury effects on the human body, and methodology and requirements in reconstructing an injured or diseased system. Overview of different artificial systems for upper and lower limbs, neuromuscular substitutes, and retina. Introduction to Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and osseointegration (direct integration of artificial systems with bone).
