Activites

Activity 2015:
- Physical Therapy Department organized a workshop for the Physical Therapy Students entitled "Manual Therapy for Upper and Lower limbs" in collaboration with "the Center for Studies, Consultations and Community Service (CSCCS)" The workshop was held at the Hashemite University on tuesday - wednesday, Sept. 8-10, 2015 from 9a.m -3 p.m. Most of the 4th and 3ed year undergraduate PT students as well as staff of the Department attended the workshop in which Mrs. Amjad Shallan. MSc. PT, presented several Technique and methods for treat some mechanical orthopedic conditions
Activities for 2014 :
- Workshop of " Manual Therapy for Cervical and Lumber Spine" , which was done in Physical therapy department in HU . The 4th and 3ed year undergraduate PT students was attended in this course which done by "Amjad Shallan" .MSc.PT

Activities for 2010
1. The Department of Physical hosted on Sunday 5-12-2010 Mr Claus from Cortex Technology company in Denmark to give practical training on the device Dermascan Cver32D . This device provides ultrasound images for the skin to measure its thickness of the skin and the proportion of collagen. The device was obtained from the fund obtained from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to study the Cosmeceutical properties of Dead Sea Mud.
2. Free voluntary workshop held by the Department of Physical Therapy in Ruweished and Aldleel areas:
From the belief in the role assigned to the university in community service and in order to activate community rehabilitation center in the College of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Abdul Majeed Almalty Head of Physical Therapy Department and Mr. Fuad Al-Dabbagh perform a voluntary workshop, free of charge, in each of the Aldleel and Ruweished areas in collaboration with the Association of Women's of Aldeel and Ruweished areas and the Supreme Council for the Affairs of Disabled Persons for a period of six days starting from 11.11.2010.
This workshop includes training about 25 volunteers on how to deal with disabled patients to assist them in managing their daily lives and train their families on how to care for a disabled person.
3. Mr. Amjad Shalan and Mr. Zaid Kwaldeh from the Department participated in the Voluntary Day organized on 11/11/2010 by the University for students from Al-Hussein Society for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Physically Challenged people.
4. Dr. Saja Hamed gave a seminar on Tuesday, 23/11/2010, about the effects of Dead Sea mud & salts on the skin as proved by scientific studies published in international journals. The seminar was held at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences as part of the activities of the Seminar Committee.
5. Dr. Abdul Majeed gave a seminar on the impact of electrical stimulation on the characteristics of the skin as part of the activities of the Seminar Committee.
Seminar was held on Tuesday 30/11/2010 at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, in which Dr. Abdul Majeed briefed the audience on the results of his research supported by the University in collaboration with Dr. Saja Hamed.
6. Physical Therapy Department organized a workshop for the Physical Therapy Students entitled "Torture Rehabilitation" in collaboration with "Rehabilitation & Research Center for Torture Victims, Copenhagen, Denmark" and Noor AlHussein Foundation, Amman, Jordan. The workshop was held at the Hashemite University on Monday, Sept. 27th, 2010 from 9a.m -1 p.m. Most of the 4th year undergraduate PT students as well as staff of the Department attended the workshop in which Mrs. Lone Tived Salem from RCT presented several talks about Torture methods and consequences consideration to take in physiotherapy for torture survivors.

Activities on previous years:
1. The free medical day, this was held in Alhashmyia in April 2008 in collaboration with the College of Nursing and College of Medicine.
2. The medical open day of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences in Zarqa. The students gave therapy sessions and educational leaflets for the attendants.
3. Participation in the Conference of Physical Therapy I (2006) and the Conference of Physiotherapy III (2008) which have been held in Jordan. 
4. Organizing Forum for physical therapist from various universities and institutes of Jordan (2008) aimed to enhance mutual understanding and spot out the challenges and concerns of the profession
