The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Hashemite University organized an introductory meeting for its new students. The event included interactive guidance and awareness segments, videos introducing the departments, specializations, and faculty members. A video showcasing the struggles of families in Gaza was also presented, along with the participation of several supporting companies.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Saja Hamed, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Basil Al-Mashaqbeh, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members, along with the students.
Dr. Hamed welcomed the new students, wishing them success in their university journey. She provided them with various tips and guidance, stating:
"You have every right to be proud of your faculty, which stands out for its pharmaceutical specializations, courses tailored to market needs, and specialized training that leads to employment."She added, "This year, we have established a specialized committee for scientific research activities, consisting of instructors and students, to organize academic and research activities in addition to the current activities and events committee. Your future depends on making the most of your study time and positively engaging with the university environment."
Dr. Hamed offered a set of essential tips to the new students, emphasizing the importance of seeking knowledge with the right intentions, adhering to regulations, actively participating in events and activities organized by the faculty and the Dean of Student Affairs, and maintaining punctuality for classes and exams.
Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yusra Al-Khalaileh, discussed the services, volunteer initiatives, and extracurricular cultural, artistic, and sports activities organized by the Dean of Student Affairs. These activities aim to provide students with knowledge and skills that enhance their personalities, enabling them to excel in their academic and professional journeys. She invited the students to participate in the student activities organized by the Dean of Student Affairs.
In an introductory segment, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Dana Al-Atoom, Head of the Activities Committee, provided a brief overview of the faculty's departments, specializations, and faculty members. She also elaborated on the Activities Committee's role in honing students' skills, developing their talents, and enriching their educational journey.
Engineers Islam Al-Khawaldeh and Asmaa Al-Hobailan from the Center for Information Technology and E-Learning provided a detailed explanation of the educational platforms (Moodle) and (Teams), including their purpose and how to access them, while stressing the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal data and information.
At the end of the meeting, moderated by Student Council member Ammar Al-Jadayah, an interactive discussion took place where faculty members answered numerous questions. The event concluded with a group photo of the 2024 cohort of students.

A scientific seminar was held by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences via the distance seminar technology entitled: "The Importance of Early Life Nutrition"
The seminar was presented by the Director of Sales and Marketing at Al-Iman Drug Store Company Dr. Alaa Issa.
As the lecture contained important topics on the importance of breastfeeding and the information that the pharmacist should know about the types of formula in terms of composition, disease and health conditions for the use of each type.
The lecture was coordinated by the Faculty of pharmaceutical sciences represented by the Scientific Seminar Committee (Dr. Rand Shahin) and was attended by Prof. Nizar Al-Zoubi (the dean), faculty members and a group of students
