Mission

The mission statement of The Hashemite University is stated that:

Raising the level of scientific research, postgraduate studies, curriculum development, creating university environment for excellence, creativity and leadership, and to prepare eligible human capital who are capable of contribution to the scientific, process and development and community service to keep up with the times and modernization

The Faculty of Engineering Mission Statement is:

To prepare highly-qualified graduates for careers in the engineering profession, providing them with a broad stimulating and rigorous engineering education, professional skills and knowledge that will enable them to succeed in their future careers.
To prepare graduates to engage in work environments, handling the different challenges of the local, regional, and global marketplace.
To conduct research that leads to recognized scientific contribution in the applied field globally and locally, which supports the comprehensive sustainable national development plans.

Civil Engineering Department Mission statement is:

The Civil Engineering program (CE) mission contributes towards achieving the mission of the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) as well as the mission of The Hashemite University (HU). The mission of the Civil Engineering Department at the Hashemite University is to prepare students for life-long careers as professional engineers who are capable of serving both the country and the region, and to provide students with the necessary academic base required to pursue advanced studies leading to advanced degrees. In addition, the faculty conducts research that leads to recognized scientific contribution.
