It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the department page of the Faculty of Medicine, Hashemite University.

The department of Pediatrics delivers clinical pediatric teaching to fifth and sixth year medical students. The department hosts various sub-specialties including Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Cardiology, Pulmonology,and Infectious disease, in addition to general pediatrics. 

Our department has active research activities in various fields of pediatrics. Many of our students are actively involved in these research projects. 

Medical students are given the opportunity to avail themselves and get exposed to other fields of pediatrics at other affiliated teaching hospitals in the Ministry of Health, and the Royal Medical Services, hosting a wealth of pediatric material. This is done under the supervision and participation of consultant pediatricians in various fields of pediatrics.

Over many years, the department of pediatrics has selectively and competitively recruited many young well-qualified pediatricians in order to expand current pediatric sub-specialty staff, and cover other pediatric sub-specialties, many of these are already sponsored or in the due process.

Upon completion of their rotations in pediatrics, medical students are expected to be well trained and exposed to a curriculum-planned material.
